We are finalizing beta development and about to deploy Vidli to market. We are looking for RoR developers who are motivated, skilled and deliver results. We are building a team of 1-2 US based developers and 2-3 offshore developers. The following job description is an overview of the skills needed to make a partnership with Vidli a good fit.

Required Skills:

• Have created or been a developer on at least 1 large scale and 2 smaller scale Ruby on Rails projects.
• Strong skills in development, OO architecture and design, and SQL and database design
• Experience in developing large scale, high traffic web applications deployed in UNIX environments (knowledge of sphinx and/or memcached would be a big plus)
• Local environment is a Mac
• Fluent working in a test/behaviour driven development life-cycle (rSpec/Cucumber/Shoulda/AutoTest/Integrity/CC.rb)
• Consistent at writing bug free code; or to be modest, very well tested code
• Can't imagine a project not being managed without GIT (or at least SVN)
• CSS / XHTML, need to be able to convert layered PSDs to standards compliant markup
• GitHub, Skype and Jira are second nature to you

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with API functionality and how to build features for one
• Experience developing with Amazon AWS infrastructure (EC2/S3)
• Familiarity with hosted E-commerce websites like Shopify.com
• Love to use AJAX to keep the interface fluent and engaging (jQuery preferred)
• Familiarity with browser capabilities and restrictions
• Have deployed at least one Merb app in the wild
• Understanding of Google TV design protocol

Hours: Part Time or Fulltime

Vidli is hiring a part-time post production wizard. Our passion is HD-blow-your-socks-off video. We’re looking for someone who wants to put their skills on display. To be considered for this position you need to know all the magic happens at the editor's desk. We have existing content and raw footage. We're looking for someone who likes taking average footage and making it incredibly sexy.

Required Skills

• Final Cut Pro/Avid
• BA in digital media production or equivalent street experience
• Proven success juggling multiple projects with deadlines
• You have field and studio production skills; knowledge of lighting, audio, and camera set up
• An eye for detail, so much so some of your friends think you should get out more
